We have released Poetic Post version 2.2. This update brings us the ability to use some basic “BBCode” in posts for formatting purposes. BBCode stands for Bulletin Board Code and has been around in forums for many, many years.
Why BBCode? Well, honestly, we do not want to allow a ton of formatting options. We want poetry posts to be minimal and clean. BBCode gives us a way to allow a few options that are appropriate for some poetry, like adding a bold word here or there, while still keeping things minimal. For example, here is how you would make a word
bold:
[b]bold[/b]
Here is how to make a word
italicized:
[i]italicized[/i]
All allowed BBCode:
[b], [i], [u], [s], [url], [img], [email], [quote], [list]
Popular BBCode that are
not available because we want to keep things clean and minimal include color and size. Sorry. 😳🤓
If you aren’t sure how to use certain ones search the web. There are plenty of webpages that talk about BBCode.
