Open "Your Door"

The online section of Poetic Licence will highlight and inform our readers about new websites, online trends and exciting information regarding the World Wide Web.

The first website profiled is an upcoming site currently being developed by Epica International. The website is called “Your Door”. “Your Door” is a social network for filmmakers, musicians and artists. Members can create a portfolio to showcase their work and establish connections with industry professionals. The beauty of the site is the connections and collaborations that artists can make. For example, a script writer can find the actors, set design and an art director required to make a movie successful. Beyond that, the site will enable that script writer to find a possible investor interested in financing the movie.

The name is a representative of each person’s talent and art form, everyone is an artist in their own way and a website such a “Your Door” will encourage artists to unlock themselves and open the door to promote their art. Industry professionals will get a chance to see what the next generation is doing; an established artist will be able to see the potential in an amateur and help to further their career.

Colin Riley, Director of “Your Door” feels that “Your Door will start a revolution in the entertainment industry. As the ‘Your Door’ gallery grows, all boundaries will fade away. Everyone has a chance of being discovered now. There are no rules.”

For more information visit the Epica International website http://www.epicainternational.com . You can expect to see “Your Door” will launching this April, 2008.
